“It is an honour and a great responsibility for me to be appointed President of the Ethics Committee of Assogemme, a virtuous organisation that has been committed since 2007 to raising awareness and to guaranteeing and enhancing the principles of ethics, transparency and respect for people and the environment in the gemstone sector.
The debate on ethics is not a passing fad and should not be perceived as such. It is a crucial necessity in the jewellery world, on which every stakeholder is invited to reflect and act,” – said the newly appointed Guido Grassi Damiani
“This has always been a key element of Damiani’s corporate identity. Our commitment to ethics has grown continuously, in line with the company’s growth – because an important past brings with it a great corporate responsibility.
I am extremely proud of this appointment and intend to keep the debate going on social and corporate responsibility and to raise awareness in the jewellery world regarding the production and distribution of precious gemstones. Together, I am sure that we can achieve important results, for the community and for our sector,” concluded Mr Damiani.
